This summer, CBSC presented the play With a Strong Hand: The Jack Munroe Story in Elk Lake, Northern Ontario. Jack Munroe was the founder and first reeve of the town and this year they celebrated their centennial. The play was performed twice in Elk Lake to sold out crowds. There was also a park dedicated to Jack Munroe. Jack Munroe had connections in Cape Breton and Northern Ontario and this summer we re-established that connection. In gratitude for their hospitality, the CBSC donated a portion of the revenues from the Elk Lake shows to the school.
