A PROMISE TO REPAIR
WHEN: June 21 - 23, 2012
WHERE: TBA
WHAT: The story deals with alcoholism and recovery from a Jewish POV (rather than AA, some of the characters are in a fictional Jewish recovery program called Tikiat Tikkun, which basically translates into "a call to repair" or "a promise to repair"). Because the recovery process entails helping others (such as sponsoring), the play also tries to explore the slippery slope between altruism and self-interest. Written by Steven Mayoff.
